Lessons for Preschoolers!
Perhaps your child enjoyed parent and toddler music groups but have now outgrown them and you are looking for a new class to advance to... or maybe you have just noticed that they love to sing along and move to music and would like them to have a fun, weekly activity to attend!
I offer one-to-one preschool lessons for children aged 3-5, using a program designed specifically for their age range. With a unique blend of music and imagination, my preschooler lessons nourish the intellectual and creative minds of young children.
When I became a mum, I already knew about the numerous studies that reveal that there is a 'window of opportunity' that exists during the preschool years, when learning the piano can facilitate neural connections in the brain needed for spacial and mathematical understanding later in life. However, I really wanted to introduce the piano in a super-enjoyable, positive way to my toddler, so after some research, I discovered "WunderKeys".
Wunderkeys lessons encourage exploration of the piano in ways that are accessible and appropriate for this age group. The lessons are geared towards building an understanding of everything a child needs to know before learning to read notated music. The 5 adorable characters we meet in lessons, known as the Wunderbies, aid to introduce the many concepts that children need to grasp before jumping into 'traditional' piano pieces. We solidify musical concepts through the use of musical activities both on and off the piano, including rhythmic poems, creative activities, teacher-student duets, piano games and maths activities to assist musical understanding.
